A New Bed and Layout – Cozier and More Space!
We recently decided that after twenty four years, it was okay to purchase a new bed, which then resulted in a new room layout. It may have had something to do with our middle daughter getting married and moving most of her bedroom furniture out ;) After all, her old bedroom will now serve as a guest room, so this seemed like the perfect excuse to upgrade ours. NEW BED I have had my sights on this particular canopy bed since seeing it in my sister's home over a year ago. She purchased the ... View Post
Frosted Shade Wall Sconces / Front Porch Refresh
Hello! It's been awhile, and my only excuse is that planning our daughter's wedding took all the creative space in my brain. That, and my previous laptop went to the computer grave yard last April. I just got a new/used one last week. We are still awaiting wedding photos, so be on the look out for a wedding post soon. Today, I wanted to feature our new frosted shade wall sconces from LNC Home that sparked a front porch refresh. Thank you to LNC Home for sponsoring this post. All opinions ... View Post

How To Style A Narrow Mantle
Styling a narrow mantle can be a challenge, especially when you have a black rectangle above it. You just have to think of it as a piece of art, but one you can't move (grrr). Probably one of my biggest decorating regrets was agreeing to hang the TV above the mantle. It just made sense though, because of the layout in our living room. We have open concept, and where I love the exposed space, arranging furniture can be frustrating. As you can see, my husband built a gorgeous enclosure for ... View Post
A Look Back at 2019
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! As I sipped my coffee this morning, I couldn't help but mentally take a look back at 2019. Knake 5 had some pretty monumental life moments this past year. The biggest of those were our oldest daughter graduating from college and moving into her first apartment. Our middle daughter said YES to her high school sweetheart as both families were able to witness, and she received her white coat. The youngest started high school and all things TEEN including her first ... View Post
