Layers of Light
I never put any thought into the importance of layering the lighting in our home until these past few months. We partnered with family-owned company, Lamps Plus on their Layers of Light campaign to show how combining various layers provides function, as well as feature. We used this opportunity not only to replace outdated fixtures, but further enhance the ambiance of each space.
This blog post is sponsored by Lamps Plus for their Layers of Light campaign. All remarks and opinions are 100% my own.
Glenn Southwest Urn Table Lamps
Glenn is obviously a big fan of these ;). The Glenn Southwest Urn Table Lamps were the first step to piecing together layers of light in our home. These twin table lamps required nothing more than placing and plugging them in 😀 Another reason why G was a fan!! All joking aside, I have wanted matching lamps forever! They work along side our new ceiling fan and existing sconce lighting to create the perfect combination for bedroom atmosphere.
Hinkley Hover Hugger Ceiling Fan
Keeping with the bedroom theme, one of the biggest updates was the Hinkley Hover Hugger Ceiling Fan. The lights are obviously off in this photo, but I wanted you to see the true beauty of this fixture! This fan is fifty-two inches, LED, and actually considered an outdoor fan. I chose it based on it’s chic design and soft weathered finish on the blades. Below is the previous ceiling fan.
No doubt, the biggest update came by switching out the hallway ceiling lights, affectionately known as “boob lights”.

Possini Euro Gracemont Ceiling Lights
Even though these Possini Euro Gracemont Ceiling Lights are not part of an actual room, they still act as jewelry for our home, and also provide layers of light that is useful when entertaining evening guests. I worked hard pairing all the new fixtures to compliment one another. They are semi-flushmount and have similar weathered wood accents for a touch of farmhouse. Below is a picture I snapped this past Christmas.
Caroline Wide Black and Wood 6-Light Chandelier
Saving the best for last, the Caroline Chandelier created just the right lighting we had been missing for years. In fact, it provides so much more light than we are used to, we decided to add a dimmer control. The Caroline combined with our existing lighting allows us to create numerous layers of light for this room.
On or off, the Caroline Chandelier is a stunning accent piece of decor.
You will find that Lamps Plus is a great resource for lighting and home furnishings throughout the home . I have listed each light with the appropriate link below. Big thank you to Lamps Plus for partnering with us on this project.
