HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
As I sipped my coffee this morning, I couldn’t help but mentally take a look back at 2019. Knake 5 had some pretty monumental life moments this past year. The biggest of those were our oldest daughter graduating from college and moving into her first apartment. Our middle daughter said YES to her high school sweetheart as both families were able to witness, and she received her white coat. The youngest started high school and all things TEEN including her first homecoming.
It was a Full Year!
Beyond these special moments, a new nephew was born, my parents moved to town and my sister’s family renovated the house we grew up in. We were able to update our kitchen and a few more spaces in our home, and I was able to take part in two, epic blogger trips. All in all, it was a great year.️ I am excited to embrace 2020 and all it has to offer. Thank you for being my support family, your encouragement means the world. My goal for this year is to grow a deeper relationship with Christ and to embrace a healthier lifestyle. As always, I will share my creativity, ideas, tips and tricks, coupon codes, new products, sales, and more with you in the coming year.
A Look Back at 2019
In March, I was honored when asked to attend a blogger’s day at Antique Candle Co. in Lafayette, IN. It was a trip I will never forget. I was able to meet and hang out with the entire staff at Antique Candle Co., make and pour my own candles, and build relationships with some of the industries finest. I still can’t believe I was given the opportunity.
Last April I was lucky enough to travel to Waco, TX. Not only was it a chance to visit Magnolia for the first time, but I was able to bond with a group of fabulous bloggers who share common interests. We stayed at Green Door Lofts and it was an experience I will never forget.
In May, our oldest graduated from college, and I helped decorate her gorgeous studio apartment. My love bucket was filled to the brim. It was both an amazing opportunity and challenge for me design wise, because I had to create for small space living. Check out the entire post here.
In June, our plans to update the kitchen began. We were able to partner along side Hanstone Quartz and Sinkology for this project. This small remodel had some obstacles along the way, but we finished with a stunning outcome. Click here to see the before and after!
Moving our oldest out and her younger sister into Lexi’s old bedroom opened up an opportunity to create his and her office spaces for G and I. It may seem like I kicked Glenn out of my office, but it was so cramped and HOT having both of our office equipment in one small space. And I was girling our office up more and more inching him further and further into one corner. So, really, I did him a favor ;).
His space
Not bad eh? And that’s just the cozy side, his desk and a cabinet are on the opposite wall.
My space
I’m thrilled with how my office came together. Adding the giant wall decals this past December was the finishing touch. It’s truly a space I love being in daily.
We added a stone walkway out to the She Shed too this summer, which added so much charm. It was a small update that once again made a large impact. Thank you for taking a look back at 2019 with me today. It gives me all the feels as I look forward to the new year. Wishing you all blessings in the new year!
Hugs,
Martha
