Cafton Crossback Chairs – Poly & Bark
GAH!! I mean, can you even?! These farmhouse chairs finally intermingle cohesively in my breakfast nook! I’m all for blending styles, but my previous chairs always rubbed me the wrong way. Don’t get me wrong, they were really pretty chairs, but I chose black… and 6 months later I decided to brighten everything up (insert slap on forehead). Not to mention, they were definitely more sophisticated in appearance. They would have been more at home in a formal dining room. I did make them work for several years by covering them with neutral, french inspired, slipcovers. For a visual, click here.
Reasons why I LOVE these farmhouse chairs
- They’re WHITE, and their overall farmhouse style.
- Seats are woven from rattan, love the contrast.
- Cross back that offers slight curve, very comfortable.
- Back is right height to rest my arm. I don’t know why I enjoy that, but I do!
- Light in weight, and their size allows for ample room while moving around my table in this tight space.
**BONUS!! Poly & Bark have been kind enough to offer all of you 10% off!
And, they are offering FREE SHIPPING the month of January!! Whoop Whoop!!

They’re gonna get dirty…..
I know what you’re thinking with me choosing stark white. Let me invite you inside how my brain works when it comes to choosing light and bright. If they get dirty, I’ll wash them. If they get scuffed too much over time, I’ll repaint them. Dark furniture undergoes the same amount of chance and probability of getting dirty just the same as light colored furniture, but light colored furniture is probably cleaner than the average dark furniture for the sole reason of appearance!!
What I’m trying to say, is that dirt and grime are easily disregarded when we CAN’T see it, am I right? My kitchen cabinets undergo a lot of abuse. I get asked all the time if I had to do it all over again, would I still choose to paint my cabinets white? YES, again and again. I wipe them down when needed, and I have had to touch them up in places, but the joy they bring me far out weighs the amount of maintenance they require.
Smooshed up against the wall, I’m still unable to capture our kitchen in it’s entirety, but I wanted to show you how well these chairs now co-exist. I am super thrilled with them, and invite you to head over to Poly & Bark to take a stroll through their amazing product line. I have a few more surprises coming, so stay tuned!
