Happy Friday friends! I’m so happy to invite you on a mini front porch tour. Today I am sharing a small project I have been working on outside! Seemed spring would never arrive, but there are finally signs and I am ready to utilize our outdoor spaces.
Did you paint your door pink?
My FIL, who has a field in front of our home, paused from planting last week to ask me if I had painted my front door pink. “Yes”, I smiled, “yes I did.” His response, “I thought so.” 🙂
Last year I took a bold step and painted our front door Contemporary Coral, you can see the full post here. Every time I would post a photo, people would reference my ‘pink front door‘. This year I decided to be even bolder and my now blushing front door is worthy to be called the color P I N K.
Because I know You Will Ask.. 😀
Pink Quartz is the official paint color name by Behr, but you will find there are many shades by this name when you search their website. The exact code used to mix mine is 1002-2B, but I didn’t use actual Behr exterior paint, I just color matched. I used the brand, EasyCare Ultra Premium, satin exterior with weatherall protection, premium finish paint and primer. It covered in 2 coats. and ended up using 1/2 a quart. I was immediately giddy with the results. Accessorizing with flowering annuals will be much easier this year.
Mini Front Porch Tour
If you are a regular around here, you probably noticed that I painted my black urns white! Talk about a facelift, I love how they came out. Linen white chalk paint by Rust-Oleum is proving to be a favorite over here. I purchased these Blushing Bride Hydrangeas and simply adore the color contrast.
Continuing on with my mini front porch tour I dare say, one could even take a nap on our front porch. If you saw my Wayfair post a few weeks ago, you know I created several mood boards. This Bungalow Rose rug was high on the list and didn’t disappoint. I chose this rug before realizing it would pair with the new front door color so well. You could say I’m tickled pink with how my front porch is shaping up this year.
This sectional is a few years old, and just a tad on the small side. We decided to purchase a bigger one for the back deck which meant I could move this one to the front. We LOVE it up here, and have enjoyed morning coffee and wine in the evening several times already. The sign, “This Is The Life” used to be displayed in our living room in my gallery wall before adding the built-ins. Moving the sign out here and adding string lights has really cozied up this space.
I can’t decide if I like the gray pillows added in the mix or not, what do you think? How about that pink flamingo pillow?! Isn’t she cute! Pillows are still a work in progress as you can tell, because I’m just not satisfied.
A Full Reveal Coming Soon
I wish I could show you how this entire space looks together, but you will have to wait until next week. I will be debuting some super fun accessories that you will have to see with your own eyes to believe!
Thanks so much for stopping by my mini front porch tour. Please continue on to this amazing panel of bloggers who are just waiting to entertain you in their outdoor space!
