Hey friends, I’m back on the organizing train! Today I am super excited to share how pretty refrigerator organization can be! My refrigerator lacked organization in the worst way. After researching organization bins and baskets, I found the perfect storage solutions, and there are so many shapes and sizes to fit any size refrigerator. If you missed my fabulous pantry organization, click here.
Side note – For occasions such as parties and holiday get togethers, I will remove the bins in order to accommodate storing dishes brought by others 😉
Refrigerator Organization In Style
As much as I love having ice at my fingertips, I don’t love how much room is taken up by having an ice maker in the door. Our next refrigerator will have the ice maker in the freezer below. InterDesign bins come in all sizes, so being limited on space was no problem.
My Inspiration
Yep, this right here grabbed me hook, line, and sinker. I was totally inspired by Kristy Wick’s recent refrigerator organization. She totally revamped her refrigerator, and I was in awe of the result and couldn’t wait to apply her techniques! As if this photo wasn’t inspiring enough, Kristy recently styled it for a giveaway she was hosting with The Container Store. This next photo has my heart with all the gorgeous pastels, and should be featured in a magazine 😍 I mean, I would buy this fridge based on this photo alone.
Why I Chose InterDesign
Now that you see where my inspo evolved, back to the products I chose. I am just as impressed with these InterDesign refrigerator bins as I am the flip tight canisters by BHG.
InterDesign Bin Details
- Clear for easy viewing
- Heavy duty plastic
- Handles built in for easy removal and placement
- Variety of shapes and sizes
- Multi-function for other rooms in your home
InterDesign bins are available from many sources. I shopped a little online, and in person. Places I know carry them are Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, Homegoods, Amazon, The Container Store, and InterDesign.com.
The Full View
You’ll notice I utilized a turntable in the refrigerator too! I keep the most grabbed items here, and just love this idea! This photo doesn’t show it (for aesthetic purposes) but I actually moved the turntable to the back right corner to free up more space to the left of it.
I originally planned on using these bins in the drawer too. I ended up only using 2 on the left side, and left the right side and middle area free for miscellaneous items. Let’s face it, there needs to be space for leftovers. Limited space is going to force me into clearing out leftovers on a more frequent basis, and THAT is not a bad thing! InterDesign bins for this project and more are linked below.
The Before
As much as I didn’t want to show you, I figured I owed you the before photo.
Organizing my refrigerator was SO MUCH FUN!! I hope you too, have been inspired. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate in reaching out! I am loving everything having a place.
