If you love to host holiday parties, entertain on the weekend, or just plain enjoy happy hour, you should probably consider owning a bar cart. I purchased my first bar cart last year, and loved styling it so much. It quickly became apparent that it was too small, so I recently upgraded to this handsome unit, The Tibo, from Birch Lane .

Bar carts have grown in popularity in the last couple years, and it’s not hard to see why. Who knew styling a vignette involving liquor could be so appetizing. And can we talk about multi-functional? There are no rules, they don’t have to be used for alcoholic beverages. I have seen plenty sporting Perrier Sparkling Water, fresh lemonade, pretty goblets, coffee, appetizers, and fresh flowers.
I absolutely love the amount of space on my new bar cart. It fits perfectly in our breakfast nook, and can easily become a caddy for extra plates and napkins during a get together, all the while still having extra space for drinks.
Bar Cart Necessities
For everyday use, here are a few necessities I think every bar cart should house:
- Pretty booze
- Clear cocktail glasses and wine goblets
- Ice Bucket
- A tray for accessories
- Cocktail shaker and shot glass for measuring
- Bar tools
- Conversation piece or two
Even though I don’t own any, vintage barware would be super fun displayed!
I think the best quality about a bar cart is the fact that it’s on wheels. Whatever festivity you are hosting, placing the bar cart in an appropriate spot where it’s accessible will create another place to mingle.
This particular bar cart is currently out of stock, but Birch Lane has so many amazing alternatives. I chose my top 5 and linked them for you, and they even show several styling options.

I have a little Easter sprinkled in the mix currently, but here is a photo showing my ‘everyday’ bar cart styled.
What did I do with the smaller cart purchased last year? Why… it’s in the bedroom, of course 😉 I kept it, because having more than one is perfectly ok!! I actually have one on our deck too!! Like I said, multi-functional. The smaller round works as a side table too, and a small lamp would actually be perfect in that corner.
Linked below are several bar cart essentials. Let me know if I have convinced you that you too need a bar cart in your life. If you have one already, hooray!! I would love to know where you have yours displayed and with what accessories.

Love love love this post! So many great ideas and I love these different carts! I just may need a second one myself haha. I love moving my cart around and in fact just brought mine outside for a patio party. Thanks for the great inspo per usual. Also thanks for joining our Friday Friends Parade! We hope you’ll continue to link up each week. Blessings, Julie & Jodie
Thanks so much for your sweet compliment sweet ladies, I enjoy this party so much!
I love this cart so much!! I have been looking all year for a bar cart that can hold racks for wine and racks for glasses. Any chance they ship to Australia 😛
Right?!! It’s such an amazing piece! I have no idea actually if they ship to Australia, I hope so!!
Well done Martha! You have effectively got me to add some more items to “The List” of things I want for my house! Haha!!! I briefly considered getting one a couple weeks ago, but now I think I want at least three for the living room, upstairs in the landing area and one for outside. Great post!
Thank you so very much Ingrid, and I can totally picture one in your gorgeous dining area. I adore having one outside too!
