Is it Fall already or what? Nothin like returning home after a fun filled, hot vacation on the shores of Tybee Island, GA.
I absolutely recommend this amazing little spot if you have never heard of it. It’s just outside of Savannah so, total WIN!
I am so happy to be home. Returning home after attending the Haven Conference in Atlanta, GA just days before our island trip has me ready to settle in at home for awhile. 😉 I learned so much at Haven, and I have taken time to reflect on what this blog means to me and am excited to implement a few changes. One being, sharing lots of content… often! My whole purpose was, and is, to inspire. So, I am going to share about it all from here on out!
Fall is on my mind, and creating a cozy bedroom is my first stop. I did a little research during our long car ride home and found common themes for Fall 2017.
- Dark green
- Blush
- Textures
- Velvet
The internet had plenty to say about what is out, too, but I am choosing to ignore that. Instead, my head immediately filled with a vision of how I plan to cozy up our bedroom this Fall.
I recently came across this amazing mood board app, thanks to a blogging friend, so sharing my visions will be so much easier now! I have plenty of texture going on here with baskets, faux leather, faux fur, and linen. Gray will be my backdrop sprinkled with blush, and I will add warmth by adding small amounts of Earth tones.
Even though I have a few things pictured here on their way, I will be completing this look on a budget. For one, I will be shopping our home and bringing back my cedar chest at the end of the bed instead of this bench (even though it’s sooo very chic). I have linked everything for you or listed the sources on the board in case you are in the market for anything seen here, and I can’t wait to share how it all comes together!
See you soon!

Love this duvet cover. Maybe ordering it for Ben’s new room. Must get his approval first! Don’t think I can get by with the blush accent until he is moved out though! 🙂 Thanks as always for your beautiful inspirations. Now…. to get Doug to paint the other half of my cabinets before the style changes!
I believe painted cabinets (especially white) will be a staple just as stained. I am in love with this duvet and can’t wait to incorporate subtle changes in an attempt to cozy things up. Glenn has been a good sport with my love of pink, maybe because it looks good on him 😉
