Hi all <3 Welcome, I am excited to have you back. I have been working hard on making my site pretty and user friendly. I would love for you to stick around, browse, and let me know what you think. You may catch something that needs fixed that I may have missed! I appreciate constructive criticism, so please share your thoughts. Some things may be out of my control as they are customized to my website’s theme.
February 1st seemed like the perfect day to share the simple Valentine’s Day decor I had fun styling this year. If you missed my last post featuring how I decorated last year, you can view it here 😉 I was lucky enough to have my friend, Gail come visit and capture our home from a different perspective. I love learning my camera, but viewing how she looked through her lense leaves me with fresh ideas. And she was able to shoot these at night!! A task I have not mastered even a little. I hope you enjoy her beautiful photography that makes our home appear prettier than it is.
I didn’t go all crazy with my tablescape 🙂 I kept it simple, because truth be told, I had to serve my family dinner right after this was shot 😉
I love simple, and this is something I can throw together quickly, should G and I have a nice dinner to ourselves <3
Speaking of dinner, in lieu of this holiday, I added a heart healthy Mexican recipe at the bottom for you to wine and dine your beloved this Valentine’s Day ♥
Nothing purchased new for this table setting either. Same plates, chargers, and all accessories shown, I used for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Ok, but I DID purchase this fun pillow, can’t blame me when all it was bought with a reward certificate.
Come on, so fun to change up! Do you have one??
A few of you may follow me on Instagram and viewed my story on beginning the daunting task of painting all the trim. Last year, I started with the window seat and built in (following the kitchen inspiration).
Completing the trim in this room absolutely solidified my decision to move forward. It’s just going to take forever, I will be taking breaks between rooms. I love the way it turned out ♥
I’ll give you a little tour around the living room.
Adding pops of blue is something I didn’t see myself doing, but I love the indigo touches, and it seems to compliment my style just fine.
Yes, this pillow jumps around. What can I say, it’s comfy and looks cute in photos 😀 That’s what I call a good purchase!
HEART HEALTHY AND DELISH, ENJOY!

- Fold in the cilantro.
- Top the tostadas with the beans, tomato mixture, and lettuce, if desired.
One of my goals is to add more and more recipes. Sharing recipes is the best! I tend to circulate between 10 meals, and it’s so boring! You can always visit the Recipes link listed in my menu, no worries of finding which blog post I shared it on.
