Good morning! I hope you all had a fun and safe holiday weekend. I am a lover of hot weather, but it just so happens our air condition broke this past week, so I welcomed the cooler temps. I am sure all the runners that competed in Run for the Fireworks were happy with cooler temps as well 🙂
Today I am starting something new on here with a recap of June’s posts. That way, if you missed a week, or you just want to visit again, I will highlight them here with a quick link. Make sure you scroll to the end, I am sharing a super simple DIY.
Week 1 – Painted Armoire – Added ‘She’ Space
Week 2 – Custom Fit Slip Covers (Shabby Chic)
So I showed how I shopped our home and re-purposed some wine bottles a few months back. I added a coastal accent with some rope and they make for instant lake house decor. Doesn’t get much easier than this 😀 .
- Rope – I purchased 15 ft. from Michaels
- Empty wine bottles with labels removed
- hot glue gun
I decorated 3 bottles, so I measured the rope in 3 equal parts 5 ft. each. Figure out where you want your rope to be before you start. I tried it all at the bottom, at the top, and decided in the middle.
Add your glue at the top of your starting point and simply wrap the rope around and add more glue at the end.
Tada! Simple and charming.
